Biography

As a member of the firm's litigation, ERISA and Executive Compensation group, Ms. Fiore represents clients in ERISA, regulatory, business, class action, Chapter 93A and insurance disputes. She is an experienced administrative, commercial and appellate litigator, and has represented clients including plan participants, class members, plan fiduciaries, company directors and officers, major insurers, plan sponsors and individuals. Ms. Fiore's practice includes extensive work on class action and other cases involving breach of fiduciary duty and denial of benefit claims under ERISA, including under 401(k) plans, employee stock ownership plans, health plans and disability plans.

In addition, Ms. Fiore has prosecuted appeals in state and federal courts in multiple jurisdictions, including cases presenting issues of first impression. One of her appeals created new state law concerning the financial responsibility of corporate officers, resulting in the reversal of a multi-million dollar jury verdict. She has worked extensively on class certification issues, as well as on challenges to the admissibility of expert testimony under both state and federal rules of evidence.

Ms. Fiore also frequently represents physicians before the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine in various administrative agency proceedings. She has extensive regulatory experience, including in the area of licensure and discipline of physicians as well as other medical providers.

She is a graduate of Wellesley College and Boston University School of law. Following law school, she served as a judicial law clerk to former Chief Judge Frank Q. Nebeker of the U. S. Court of Veterans Appeals.
